The F.O.C.U.S. Framework

Keep the FOCUS.
Reach the Goal.

At Compass, our After-School Program is guided by F.O.C.U.S. — Fostering Opportunity, Confidence, Understanding, and Success.

This framework reflects our belief that every student has the potential to achieve great things when given the right encouragement, structure, and support. Through hands-on learning, creative exploration, and community connection, F.O.C.U.S. helps students develop consistency, build resilience, and gain the skills they need to reach their goals—both in school and in life.

FOCUS isn’t just a name—it’s a mindset. With consistency, encouragement, and opportunity, every child can succeed.

After-School Program Overview

The Compass After-School Program provides a structured, engaging, and supportive environment where students can continue learning, growing, and connecting beyond the traditional school day. The program is designed to foster a love of learning, build confidence, and strengthen community connections—all while ensuring students are safe, supervised, and supported.

Our programs are geared toward students in grades K–8; however, the program is open to all students, with special support for those who may benefit from additional academic or social enrichment. For our older youth, we offer a unique opportunity to get involved by volunteering and developing valuable leadership skills.

Our after-school spaces are more than just places to complete homework—they are hubs of creativity, collaboration, and personal growth. Each program combines academic enrichment, social development, and recreational opportunities that help children and youth thrive in every area of life.
